Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) Rolando Bryan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the game, Capasin AFC's Blair Odonnell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emil Fortier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Blair Odonnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, one of Capasin AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for McGillivray FC. Yves Adair stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Donny Burton. 1-1. Rolando Bryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Fortier having to interfere. After 22 played minutes McGillivray FC got a freekick which was hit by Gratien Heath. In the 23rd minute, Rolando Bryan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rolando Bryan got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Emil Fortier was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Ronnie Queen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blair Odonnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emil Fortier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Darrell Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McGillivray FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darrell Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of McGillivray FC booed when Capasin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Dupree didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darrell Hutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Darrell Hutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donny Burton was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute of the match Micheal Holliday sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donny Burton skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Capasin AFC's Donny Burton got control of the ball when Cameron Langelier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emil Fortier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blair Odonnell went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Capasin AFC booed when McGillivray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evan Thayer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rolando Bryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capasin AFC's Blair Odonnell got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Donny Burton managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when McGillivray FC's Cameron Langelier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Capasin AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
