Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darrell Hutton started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jules Bunch got free with Emil Fortier in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darrell Hutton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gail Stearns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Jules Bunch made a precise shot to the right of Emil Fortier. McGillivray FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, McGillivray FC's goalkeeper Emil Fortier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jules Bunch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambroise Gilbert in the 24th minute of play forced McGillivray FC's goalkeeper Emil Fortier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Neguac's zone, Darrell Hutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gail Stearns came out of the goal and Darrell Hutton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gail Stearns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darrell Hutton went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Cameron Langelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambroise Gilbert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Fortier having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ambroise Gilbert to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, McGillivray FC's Gail Stearns threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Darrell Hutton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gail Stearns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darrell Hutton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gail Stearns made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cameron Langelier sent off a good shot on target. Emil Fortier came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Neguac's Ambroise Gilbert. But to his dismay, Ambroise Gilbert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 65th minute Jules Bunch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Fortier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burton Wilcox struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gail Stearns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for McGillivray FC. The audience was convinced that Darrell Hutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gail Stearns was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambroise Gilbert in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Fortier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Neguac getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Abel Adkins hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, McGillivray FC's Darrell Hutton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. If Jules Bunch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
