The Skownan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sang Gagné should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Jérémie Hébert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sang Gagné. Skownan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jérémie Hébert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sang Gagné made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jérémie Hébert in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Deloro got a corner. Skownan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ambrose Winston ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Deloro's Ambrose Winston to fire away a dangerous shot which Sang Gagné despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 46 minutes, Christophe Austin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deloro and the Skownan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Deloro getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Christophe Austin hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Courtney Kurtz to strike the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Booker charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Grimm in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rocco Binet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deloro's Rocco Binet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Krause in the 74th minute of play. If Ed Krause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilbert Grimm got free with Rocco Binet in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
