The supporters of Barich booed when Fiske was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dee McCloud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Whitfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loup Osborne in the 27th minute of the match. Dee McCloud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Corin Rudolph had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Whitfield. Fiske's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Corin Rudolph was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Barich's Carl Jackson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Barich from getting a goal against them. Corin Rudolph struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Gilbert Whitfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barich. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corin Rudolph to make the kick off. Bryan Breton hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Loup Osborne struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gilbert Whitfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barich. Corin Rudolph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilbert Whitfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Herb Rutherford fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barich's protests and gave Herb Rutherford a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barich's Herb Rutherford got a free kick in the 85th minute. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Devin Benton sped through Barich's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carl Jackson. Renard Campbell's late challenge caught a Fiske's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renard Campbell helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Barich:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fiske:s goal. In the 95th minute, Herb Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, Devin Benton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barich's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
