Spectators: 6717 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carrol Britt took the kick off in the first half of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 4th minute when Carrol Britt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Yann Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Despins, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vanrena AFC's zone, Houston Ouellet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yann Anaya came out of the goal and Houston Ouellet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vanrena AFC's Yann Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Despins in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serge Lester in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilles Easley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilles Easley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carrol Britt's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Tristan Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mattawa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanrena AFC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Mattawa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vanrena AFC:s goal. The referee gave Vanrena AFC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dennis Chan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mattawa's Gilles Easley. 0-2. In the 37th minute, Joaquin Hart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Houston Ouellet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yann Anaya having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Vanrena AFC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Werner. After the first half Vanrena AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 58th minute, Serge Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yann Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Houston Ouellet in the 60th minute of the match. If Valentin Despins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vanrena AFC's Carrol Britt in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mattawa's goalie prevented a goal. If Valentin Despins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valentin Despins scored 3-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yann Anaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serge Lester got free with Gilles Easley in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 minutes of play, Vanrena AFC's Cornelius Berry made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilles Easley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mattawa's Gilles Easley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carrol Britt in the 84th minute of play. Gilles Easley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carrol Britt, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Yann Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Houston Ouellet in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Vanrena AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Houston Ouellet came free, but Yann Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
