Daryl Corbett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaétan Fraser, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Wesleyville AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashcroft FC the free kick. In the 20th minute, Duncan Ellis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wesleyville AFC's Stephen Sirois didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacey Hemphill in the 21st minute of play forced Wesleyville AFC's goalkeeper Stephen Sirois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Lynn Bravo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wesleyville AFC's Stephen Sirois. Stephen Sirois was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashcroft FC's goalkeeper Daryl Corbett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wesleyville AFC's Stephen Sirois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lynn Bravo in the 35th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Ashcroft FC's Stacey Hemphill made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stephen Sirois was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emery Oconnor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Stacey Hemphill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Sirois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Wesleyville AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ashcroft FC were winning 0-2.

Daryl Corbett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaétan Fraser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milton Donahue hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Gaétan Fraser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaétan Fraser in the 56th minute of play forced Ashcroft FC's goalkeeper Daryl Corbett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stacey Hemphill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephen Sirois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stacey Hemphill in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephen Sirois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reginald Thurman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daryl Corbett having to make a save. If Stacey Hemphill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephen Sirois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacey Hemphill, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lynn Bravo got free with Stephen Sirois in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Stacey Hemphill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephen Sirois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stacey Hemphill in the 80th minute of the match. Mary Valencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
