Donatien Connolly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brain Chang having to make a save. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Fonthill. Shayne Acosta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brain Chang. 1-0. When Norbert McCauley came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Kanaaupscow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert McCauley couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Kanaaupscow's Shayne Parson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 43rd minute Norbert McCauley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Amos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kanaaupscow's goalkeeper Brain Chang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norbert McCauley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Norbert McCauley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kanaaupscow's zone, Donatien Connolly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brain Chang came out of the goal and Donatien Connolly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jospeh Gagnon fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kanaaupscow's protests and gave Jospeh Gagnon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Kanaaupscow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jospeh Gagnon to maneuver through the defense. Pascal Connor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes, Fonthill's Fidel Hickey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brain Chang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fonthill reached it. After 74 played minutes Fonthill got a freekick which was hit by Luc Langley. Norbert McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair Amos having to interfere. The supporters of Kanaaupscow booed when Fonthill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Hines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kanaaupscow's Norbert McCauley got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octavio Charles charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Charles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fonthill had won after a very even match.
