In the 2nd minute Trent Hinkle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Carmona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Commanda AFC's Emmett Lyons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Carmona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean Sylvester's late challenge caught a Causapscal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 13 minutes of play, Causapscal's Cory Russ made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romain McNeal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clément Rowland hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Cory Russ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain McNeal having to interfere. A collision led to Causapscal getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edmond Rancourt hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Trent Hinkle notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Causapscal's Terry Carmona. Terry Carmona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Commanda AFC's Romain McNeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Whalen in the 27th minute of play. Terry Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trent Hinkle in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Commanda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lyman AyotHayot. After recieving a nice pass, Causapscal's Clément Rowland tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Commanda AFC's zone, Cory Russ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romain McNeal came out of the goal and Cory Russ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cory Russ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain McNeal having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trent Hinkle was the one to do the kick off. Cory Russ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain McNeal having to interfere. Francisco Whalen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Commanda AFC's Emmett Lyons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terry Carmona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 71 minutes into the game, Cory Russ cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Romain McNeal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Trent Hinkle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute.
