An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradford Bisson in the 13th minute of play forced Mildred FC's goalkeeper Lon Fink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felicien Small took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Houston Querry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Houston Querry took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felicien Small. Felicien Small dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Will Farr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Clair Beauchamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mildred FC and the Chester players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felicien Small took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Farr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bradford Bisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bradford Bisson made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Will Farr got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felicien Small was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Mildred FC defense, Bradford Bisson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lon Fink. The Mildred FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lon Fink should have stopped the shot. After having played for 58 minutes, Clair Beauchamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mildred FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clair Beauchamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Chester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Deaton to maneuver through the defense. Will Farr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Felicien Small tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Houston Querry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felicien Small saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Chester's goalkeeper Felicien Small had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Will Farr. 75 minutes into the match, Mildred FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jewel Dowdy came free, but Lon Fink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Will Farr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felicien Small didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Bradford Bisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute.
