Trent Hinkle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felicien Small came out and tried to block the shot, but Trent Hinkle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 38th minute. Romain McNeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Chester's goalkeeper Felicien Small had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trent Hinkle. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trent Hinkle was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Emmett Lyons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Commanda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Commanda AFC's Romain McNeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradford Bisson in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Commanda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lyman AyotHayot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmett Lyons in the 88th minute of play forced Chester's goalkeeper Felicien Small to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Commanda AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chester had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
