Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donovan Slaughter to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Honoré Hurd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aubrey Bartley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clair Beauchamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Robt Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lon Fink having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Albert Autier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clair Beauchamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Will Farr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mildred FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Will Farr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 played minutes Mildred FC got a freekick which was hit by Will Farr. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robt Walker got free with Lon Fink in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
