With a little luck, Drumbo's Von Wilkinson got control of the ball when Norberto Lefebvre tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Drumbo booed when Summerland AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Coates didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Coates's late challenge caught a Drumbo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Coates helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Summerland AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Leon Coates hit a great ball. Harry Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Von Wilkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Guevara in the 18th minute of play. Monty Guevara succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. When Ervin Blake fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumbo's protests and gave Ervin Blake a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Drumbo's Ervin Blake got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 39th minute, Graig Powell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Graig Powell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Viens having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Moran in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fermin Viens saved Summerland AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Summerland AFC's zone, Harry Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fermin Viens came out of the goal and Harry Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Graig Powell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Monty Guevara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Drumbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Blake to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Monty Guevara made a precise shot to the right of Von Wilkinson. Drumbo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. During the 65th minute of the match Ervin Blake completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ervin Blake a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 65 played minutes Drumbo got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Blake. Norberto Lefebvre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Von Wilkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Cliff Généreux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Graig Powell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Drumbo booed when Summerland AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Staples didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Summerland AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Drumbo having more of the ball for most of the match.
