Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Lucerne's Palmer Gamelin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivier Eddy in the 4th minute of play forced Lucerne's goalkeeper Alberto Laderoute to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamar Giguère kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Lucerne booed when Barrows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Giguère didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesaire Gary shot from long distance in the 11th minute, but Lonnie Womack was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Barrows's Olivier Eddy managed to work through Lucerne's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Olivier Eddy dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Palmer Gamelin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lonnie Womack came out and tried to block the shot, but Palmer Gamelin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Alberto Laderoute showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Eddy in the 22nd minute of the match. Bobbie Pugh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Laderoute having to make a save. Olivier Eddy struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alberto Laderoute didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrows. In the 26th match minute, Lucerne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Starr to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Laderoute made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivier Eddy in the 29th minute of play. Bobbie Pugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Laderoute having to interfere. Palmer Gamelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Womack having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Palmer Gamelin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olivier Eddy in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Laderoute prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bobbie Pugh might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Laderoute. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bobbie Pugh ran back to his position shaking his head. Olivier Eddy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes, Lucerne's Rashad Tillman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lonnie Womack came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lucerne reached it. Dick Jacob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lonnie Womack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrows's goalkeeper Lonnie Womack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Lucerne got a freekick which was hit by Cesaire Gary. After 72 played minutes, Barrows's Apollinaire Kuhn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Laderoute came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrows reached it. In the 73rdth minute of the game Palmer Gamelin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrows's Lonnie Womack was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Cesaire Gary hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamar Giguère kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Dick Jacob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lucerne booed when Barrows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Gibbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palmer Gamelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucerne's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
