The referee showed Leo Gibbs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Norberto Lefebvre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Barrows's Lonnie Womack got control of the ball when Norberto Lefebvre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Barrows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamar Giguère to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Lefebvre in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a rather tough play, Barrows's Elden Blackburn got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Bobbie Pugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Viens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olivier Eddy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Viens having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barrows's zone, Norberto Lefebvre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lonnie Womack came out of the goal and Norberto Lefebvre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Summerland AFC's Norberto Lefebvre got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Monty Guevara was the one to do the kick off. Fermin Viens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobbie Pugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olivier Eddy in the 75th minute of play forced Summerland AFC's goalkeeper Fermin Viens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olivier Eddy had several of the Summerland AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Fermin Viens as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bobbie Pugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
