The crowd rose to their feet as Québec FC's Sébastien Dennis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zane Hopper. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Lauren Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Québec FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauren Rosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zane Hopper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sébastien Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Hopper having to interfere. If Harris Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Raphael Benton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Québec FC's Austin Dennis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Neil Bergman came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Placentia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Bergman couldn't finish the play. Sébastien Dennis struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Zane Hopper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Québec FC.
