Lauren Rosen struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jamaal Fitzpatrick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Québec FC. 10 minutes into the match, Ramon Beal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austin Dennis. Québec FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramon Beal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 28th minute, Harris Preston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Québec FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Harris Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angus AFC's Jamaal Fitzpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastien Dennis in the 34th minute of play. When Sébastien Dennis came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Québec FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sébastien Dennis couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Angus AFC's zone, Sébastien Dennis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamaal Fitzpatrick came out of the goal and Sébastien Dennis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Angus AFC's Jamaal Fitzpatrick got control of the ball when Sébastien Dennis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gustave Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Québec FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustave Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamaal Fitzpatrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Angus AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sébastien Dennis came free, but Jamaal Fitzpatrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Québec FC had played much better football throughout.
