Adolphe Ayers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lawrence Joiner hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Robby Cagle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Orville Titus made a huge save. Adolphe Ayers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gail Paradis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Robby Cagle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Orville Titus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adolphe Ayers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gail Paradis in the 23rd minute of play. Gail Paradis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Adolphe Ayers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beau Minton charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. ARMY CANADA's Orville Titus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Guillory in the 35th minute of play. Lockwood AFC's Beau Minton got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, ARMY CANADA's goalkeeper Orville Titus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Cagle. Robby Cagle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind ARMY CANADA's goalkeeper Orville Titus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Robby Cagle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orville Titus was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Lockwood AFC's zone, Loic Greene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolphe Ayers came out of the goal and Loic Greene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Lockwood AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
