The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olivier Pierre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kermit Bouchard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Tanner Poirier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Chase Guillory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coulter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chase Guillory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kermit Bouchard in the 18th minute of play forced Tekie-Taka's goalkeeper Olivier Pierre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Coulter's goalkeeper Antwan Bowman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willis McKay. After 22 played minutes Tekie-Taka got a freekick which was hit by Perry Chambers. In the 26th match minute, Tekie-Taka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickie Harrison to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Coulter's Josh Holloway in action when he in the 28th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Antwan Bowman made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Willis McKay sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Slaughter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antwan Bowman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Kermit Bouchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coulter's supporters rose to their feet, but Kermit Bouchard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olivier Pierre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antwan Bowman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanner Poirier in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kermit Bouchard to strike the kick off in the second half. If Kermit Bouchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tekie-Taka's Perry Chambers got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Tanner Poirier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antwan Bowman was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Kermit Bouchard succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Granville Pulliam charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Granville Pulliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Coulter getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Granville Pulliam hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Tanner Poirier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
