Neal West scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germain Hamilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 minutes, Carter Rivière mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerson and the Waldheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carter Rivière kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Emerson's Neal West sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Germain Hamilton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Riley Crews was a little too slow when Géraud Parks got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Riley Crews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Géraud Parks, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Waldheim's Hung Henley got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dallas Amireau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dallas Amireau scored 1-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germain Hamilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dallas Amireau made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Narcisse Cummins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerson and the Waldheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Waldheim booed when Emerson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcisse Cummins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dallas Amireau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Germain Hamilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Waldheim's goal looked a bit too open when Dallas Amireau came free, but Germain Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neal West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Randell Morin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Waldheim's zone, Neal West stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germain Hamilton came out of the goal and Neal West tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, Emerson's Alonzo Shapiro tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Waldheim's zone, Dallas Amireau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germain Hamilton came out of the goal and Dallas Amireau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neal West could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Germain Hamilton made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Waldheim's Stan Deslauriers got a free kick in the 90th minute. Randell Morin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Géraud Parks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riley Crews saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emerson's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
