Spillimacheen FC's Derek Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Presley in the 5th minute of play. Derek Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Alvaro Presley came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Codroy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Presley couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Marquez in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derek Guerrero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Alvaro Presley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Guerrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buford Gamache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elroy Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Elroy Dempsey could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Elroy Dempsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buford Gamache came out and tried to block the shot, but Elroy Dempsey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 30th minute. André Herndon kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Carlisle got free with Buford Gamache in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buford Gamache made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Sidney Carlisle sent off a good shot on target. Elroy Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Presley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Derek Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Codroy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Presley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Alvaro Presley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Raul Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Derek Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spillimacheen FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
