Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Waterdown's Amos Haas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amos Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Conn having to interfere. Reuben Lin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Shields, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Reuben Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimé Weber in the 25th minute of the match. Amos Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oswaldo Conn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimé Weber in the 35th minute of play forced Waterdown's goalkeeper Reuben Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If César Laberge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aimé Weber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Lin having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Carey Rouleau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waterdown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sutton FC the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Waterdown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carey Rouleau to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sutton FC booed when Waterdown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvis Kincaid didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aimé Weber was the one to do the kick off. Waterdown's Reuben Lin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Waterdown from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Haas in the 53rd minute of play forced Sutton FC's goalkeeper Oswaldo Conn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jérôme Alfaro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Conn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reuben Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aimé Weber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Sutton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jérôme Alfaro came free, but Oswaldo Conn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amos Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Conn having to interfere. Aimé Weber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reuben Lin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Reuben Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimé Weber in the 95th minute of play. Sutton FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alden Alley in the 97th minute. Sutton FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Waterdown had won, even though Sutton FC had held more of the ball.
