Drinkwater AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Humbert McCullough scored to the left of an out of position Dudley Chavis, making the score, 1-2. In the 46th minute, Andy Wilkins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dudley Chavis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thanh Vera made a kick off. Thanh Vera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Fernand McRae made a huge save. In the 63rd minute of the match Grant York shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dudley Chavis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
