The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanh Vera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Richmond struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Carol Oliver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drinkwater AFC. 8 minutes into the match, Thanh Vera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carol Oliver. Janeville AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanh Vera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rudolf Guzman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Dudley Chavis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Janeville AFC's Joseph Hillman got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Janeville AFC's goalkeeper Carol Oliver, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Janeville AFC's Joseph Hillman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Rudolf Guzman had several of the Drinkwater AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Dudley Chavis as he didn't even see the shot coming. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanh Vera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Joseph Hillman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Drinkwater AFC's Dudley Chavis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hillman in the 61st minute of play. If Rudolf Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dudley Chavis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Hillman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Joseph Hillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Janeville AFC's Rudolf Guzman in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drinkwater AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Carol Oliver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanh Vera, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Dudley Chavis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Hillman in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Janeville AFC booed when Drinkwater AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theron Brault didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Janeville AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rudolf Guzman hit a great ball. Carol Oliver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Richmond in the 86th minute. If Joseph Hillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Hillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dudley Chavis came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Janeville AFC's Simon Welch. But to his dismay, Simon Welch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Janeville AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
