Walton Worley hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Dudley Chavis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Morin in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Drinkwater AFC booed when Queenstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Morin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Derick Keller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanh Vera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Lam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanh Vera in the 42nd minute of the match. When Walton Worley fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queenstown FC's protests and gave Walton Worley a yellow card for diving instead. Walton Worley hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanh Vera struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marcus Lam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drinkwater AFC. A hard shot 46 in the game by Eloy Richmond from a close distance when the talented Marcus Lam managed to make a qualified save. Queenstown FC's players were relieved. In the 47th minute, René Hadley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Lam acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eric Meier. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Thanh Vera made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Thanh Vera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Richmond scored 1-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Lam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Lam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Richmond, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Derick Keller came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Queenstown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derick Keller couldn't finish the play. Queenstown FC's Marcus Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanh Vera in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanh Vera in the 88th minute of play forced Queenstown FC's goalkeeper Marcus Lam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
