Julio Li came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Davangus FC's Alphonso Petrie. But to his dismay, Alphonso Petrie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 55 minutes into the game, one of Kelligrews AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joël Rooney's late challenge caught a Davangus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
