Carol Oliver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léon Longoria, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Carol Oliver didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolphe Watkins went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Léon Longoria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ollie Baron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Oliver having to interfere. Southey's Antony MacDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hillman in the 21st minute of play. Ollie Baron struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Carol Oliver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southey. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Léon Longoria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southey's supporters rose to their feet, but Léon Longoria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carol Oliver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Janeville AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Simon Welch hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ollie Baron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angel Pace kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ollie Baron in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carol Oliver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Léon Longoria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carol Oliver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Léon Longoria notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Janeville AFC's Carol Oliver. Carol Oliver was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carol Oliver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Baron in the 41st minute of play. Ollie Baron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Janeville AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Southey:s goal. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Southey. Esmé Belcher stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carol Oliver. 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joseph Hillman made a kick off. In the 57th minute of the match, Ollie Baron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carol Oliver saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Guzman in the 60th minute of play forced Southey's goalkeeper Antony MacDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Léon Longoria came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Southey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léon Longoria couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Ollie Baron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carol Oliver was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Antony MacDonald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joseph Hillman went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Southey's Antony MacDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hillman in the 80th minute of play. Janeville AFC's Carol Oliver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Janeville AFC from getting a goal against them. Léon Longoria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Carol Oliver made a huge save. Rudolf Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ollie Baron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carol Oliver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Southey could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Janeville AFC throughout the match.
