Grady Méthot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Darden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léon Longoria in the 7th minute of the match. Léon Longoria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Darden having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Southey's goalkeeper Antony MacDonald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Achille Benson. Achille Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grady Méthot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Antony MacDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, one of Davangus FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Southey. Esmé Belcher stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cesar Darden. 0-1. After 32 minutes of play, Southey's Angel Pace made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesar Darden was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Ollie Baron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Darden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davangus FC's Grady Méthot was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Ollie Baron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Ollie Baron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ollie Baron to make the kick off. A collision led to Southey getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rodolphe Watkins hit a great ball. Antony MacDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grady Méthot in the 56th minute of play. Cesar Darden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Baron in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Davangus FC's Matthieu Figueroa got a free kick in the 61st minute. Rodolphe Watkins hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Morton Mason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antony MacDonald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grady Méthot in the 77th minute of the match. Erik Blais charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erik Blais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ollie Baron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Southey's Léon Longoria got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Cesar Darden successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Félix Norbert during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Félix Norbert kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ollie Baron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Southey's Léon Longoria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Darden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 97 minutes into the match, Southey's goal looked a bit too open when Grady Méthot came free, but Antony MacDonald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Davangus FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Southey were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
