Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Montmartre's Nicky Mahoney started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Troy English made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Carmen Fagan sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, Gravenhurst's Carmen Fagan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Troy English narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Troy English showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonso Dove, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Philippe Pruitt took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fritz Purvis. Fritz Purvis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Philippe Pruitt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fritz Purvis having to make a save. Nicky Mahoney took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fritz Purvis. Fritz Purvis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Daniel Jacques hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gravenhurst's zone, Nicky Mahoney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fritz Purvis came out of the goal and Nicky Mahoney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicky Mahoney in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Purvis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 minutes of play, Montmartre's Nicky Mahoney made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fritz Purvis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Troy English made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Carmen Fagan sent off a good shot on target. Nicky Mahoney struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Fritz Purvis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montmartre. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphonso Dove in the 47th minute of play forced Montmartre's goalkeeper Troy English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Montmartre were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alphonso Dove to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Montmartre's Nathanael Caballero got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Carmen Fagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, Nathanael Caballero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 65 minutes, Philippe Pruitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montmartre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philippe Pruitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carmen Fagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Gravenhurst's Fritz Purvis got control of the ball when Philippe Pruitt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Montmartre's Troy English played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphonso Dove in the 77th minute of play. Nicky Mahoney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Purvis having to interfere. If Nicky Mahoney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Montmartre's Nicky Mahoney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fritz Purvis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Nicky Mahoney got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Fredric Katz put in a rough tackle. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montmartre! The referee gave Gravenhurst a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Drew Salinas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Montmartre's Troy English. 1-3. When the match was over Montmartre could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gravenhurst throughout the match.
