Spectators: 6741 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 0) Dennis Merchant made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Richard Dent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dyment's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Dent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willis Bartlett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Richard Dent sped through Wallaceburg AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Willis Bartlett. Richard Dent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Willis Bartlett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willis Bartlett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Merchant, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Dyment's Mose McIntyre got a free kick in the 16th minute. Willis Bartlett made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Richard Dent sent off a good shot on target. Richard Dent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Wallaceburg AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dennis Merchant fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Frederick Barrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Rainier Swartz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wallaceburg AFC's protests and gave Rainier Swartz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wallaceburg AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rainier Swartz hit a great ball. Richard Dent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Willis Bartlett made a huge save. If Séverin Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Séverin Ibarra in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leland Lentz saved Dyment from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Mathew Patel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dyment and the Wallaceburg AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Dyment got a freekick which was hit by Mathew Patel. In the 40th minute Frederick Barrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Lentz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wallaceburg AFC! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

One of Dyment:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wallaceburg AFC:s goal. Fernand Booker shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Dennis Merchant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Willis Bartlett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Merchant in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willis Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes, Dennis Merchant made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wallaceburg AFC's Willis Bartlett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Dyment's Dennis Merchant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willis Bartlett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Wallaceburg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dewayne Cassidy to maneuver through the defense. Séverin Ibarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Leland Lentz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Dennis Merchant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dennis Merchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dyment's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
