Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alton Petrie kicked off to start the match. In the 5th match minute, Stillwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Story to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Alton Petrie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paschal Parmentier. Richmond's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alton Petrie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Paschal Parmentier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alton Petrie in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Étienne Rose to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alton Petrie in the 12th minute of play forced Richmond's goalkeeper Paschal Parmentier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Stillwater's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Barnabé Burns fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cruz Boucher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jamaal Noble made a huge save. Miles Riel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Riel came free, but Paschal Parmentier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alton Petrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschal Parmentier having to interfere. Cruz Boucher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Odell Aubé. Brant Pugh was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Richmond's Paschal Parmentier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alton Petrie in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Miles Riel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Paschal Parmentier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miles Riel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Paschal Parmentier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alton Petrie in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alton Petrie in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paschal Parmentier saved Richmond from getting behind. 63 minutes into the game, Cruz Boucher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jamaal Noble was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miles Riel got free with Paschal Parmentier in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Odell Aubé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alton Petrie in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paschal Parmentier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Richmond's Paschal Parmentier got control of the ball when Miles Riel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Odell Aubé kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Alton Petrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miles Riels short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Paschal Parmentier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Barnabé Burns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Stillwater's Art Story got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Stillwater supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stillwater would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
