Spectators: 6761 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mickey Grondin took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Sintaluta's Joel Landrum in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maynooth's goalie prevented a goal. Emanuel Burnette scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Earnest Devine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Sintaluta's Emanuel Burnette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Earnest Devine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sintaluta's Jacques Weiss got a free kick in the 11th minute. Mickey Grondin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stewart Broussard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Grondin in the 20th minute of the match. Stewart Broussard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickey Grondin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Earnest Devine came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Sintaluta's Joel Landrum. But to his dismay, Joel Landrum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Maynooth defense, Emanuel Burnette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Earnest Devine. The Maynooth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Earnest Devine should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Sintaluta's Riley Elliot got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Mickey Grondin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stewart Broussard was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Earnest Devine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Burnette in the 35th minute of the match. If Mickey Grondin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emanuel Burnette came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sintaluta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Burnette couldn't finish the play. After the first half Sintaluta were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Burnette was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Maynooth's goal looked a bit too open when Chester Brewster came free, but Earnest Devine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Manuel in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stewart Broussard saved Sintaluta from getting behind. Riley Elliot hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Emanuel Burnette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Earnest Devine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Emanuel Burnette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earnest Devine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Joel Landrum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Joel Landrum got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Jacques Weiss fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sintaluta's protests and gave Jacques Weiss a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Sintaluta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacques Weiss to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes, Maynooth's Eloi Huggins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stewart Broussard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maynooth reached it. Joel Landrum's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Earnest Devine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Darnell Barajas charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darnell Barajas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sintaluta booed when Maynooth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darnell Barajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fidel Manuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Broussard having to interfere. Stewart Broussard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mickey Grondin's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The Sintaluta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
