After 3 played minutes Newark AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Boucher. Lamar Boggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamar Boggs scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernand Pinette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 16 minutes, Lamar Boggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newark AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lamar Boggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claude Larsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Palmer Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Newark AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Yong Autier hit a great ball. Lamar Boggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrhead FC's goalkeeper Fernand Pinette, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute of the match Eugenio Boucher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernand Pinette showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Esteban Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Lamar Boggs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newark AFC and the Barrhead FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Lamar Boggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guadalupe Childress received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Palmer Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lamar Boggs could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Fernand Pinette however easily saved by the left post. Howard Mayberry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fernand Pinette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Newark AFC's Howard Mayberry got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Fernand Pinette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamar Boggs in the 54th minute of the match. Mathis Stiles hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Howard Mayberry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Barrhead FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Esteban Berger hit a great ball. Barrhead FC's Fernand Pinette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Howard Mayberry in the 60th minute of play. A hard shot 65 in the game by Guadalupe Childress from a close distance when the talented Palmer Brooks managed to make a qualified save. Newark AFC's players were relieved. Fernand Pinette didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Newark AFC's Lamar Boggs shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 80 minutes into the match, Newark AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Larsen came free, but Palmer Brooks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrhead FC's Claude Larsen got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilburn Marcus missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 86 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Fernand Pinette right hand side. Howard Mayberry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Howard Mayberry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernand Pinette was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Newark AFC fully deserved thier win.
