Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Palencia in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kris McCormick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Dewitt Charles got free with Kris McCormick in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Troy's Brant Duncan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brant Duncan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Troy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brant Duncan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Troy! In the 83rd minute, Allan Palencia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kris McCormick. The goal made the score 0-5. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Harold Tracy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Prospero Maju was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Whitewood's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 96th match minute, Troy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrod Albrecht to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Troy's Kris McCormick got control of the ball when Prospero Maju tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Whitewood's Prospero Maju in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Troy's goalie prevented a goal. Whitewood's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
