After a rather tough play, Neelin's Benito Melanson got a free kick in the 9th minute. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Noble Lajeunesse took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Scottie Lacombe to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Lindsey in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Lauzier saved Peterbell FC from getting behind. If Noble Lajeunesse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ned Plourde in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Scottie Lacombe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Noble Lajeunesse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Scottie Lacombe having to make a save. When Neelin's Bradly Varner in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peterbell FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 28 minutes, Bradly Varner made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Peterbell FC's Rudy Lauzier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noble Lajeunesse in the 32nd minute of play forced Neelin's goalkeeper Scottie Lacombe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Peterbell FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephan Starks to maneuver through the defense. Jan Lindsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Lauzier having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bradly Varner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudy Lauzier was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the game, Neelin's Jan Lindsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudy Lauzier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Neelin were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Lindsey was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Lindsey in the 51st minute of play forced Peterbell FC's goalkeeper Rudy Lauzier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Neelin's Bertrand Curry got a free kick in the 56th minute. Noble Lajeunesse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Scottie Lacombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ned Plourde struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Scottie Lacombe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peterbell FC. In the 63rd match minute, Neelin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hippolyte Tanguay to maneuver through the defense. Noble Lajeunesse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scottie Lacombe having to interfere. Neelin's Scottie Lacombe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noble Lajeunesse in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradly Varner during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes Neelin got a freekick which was hit by Bradly Varner. Jan Lindsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rudy Lauzier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Lindsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Lauzier having to interfere. With his leg Rudy Lauzier managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Neelin's Bradly Varner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Neelin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Neelin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
