In the 14th minute of the match, Philbert Larkin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfonso Betts saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Wayne Hopson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Alfonso Betts successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wayne Hopson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Philbert Larkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Betts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Betts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philbert Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marlboro's Vaughn Ramos got a free kick in the 28th minute. The nice shot from Wayne Hopson in the 31stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alfonso Betts had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Wayne Hopsons short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Alfonso Betts to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35 minutes, Tyrone Grady mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlboro and the Harwood FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marlboro getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tyrone Grady hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes, Harwood FC's Ronnie Burgess shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Byers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harwood FC reached it. After 45 played minutes Marlboro got a freekick which was hit by Ahmad Oliver. When Emile Dennis came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Harwood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emile Dennis couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Philbert Larkin was the one to do the kick off. Emile Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Byers having to interfere. Marlboro's Wayne Hopson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terrance Williamson in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Betts saved Harwood FC from getting behind. Alfonso Betts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Hopson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rey Lloyd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonso Betts. Harwood FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wayne Hopson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Betts having to interfere. After some careless play in the Harwood FC defense, Philbert Larkin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Betts. The Harwood FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Betts should have stopped the shot. When Marlboro's Philbert Larkin in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harwood FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emile Dennis in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Byers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Wayne Hopson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Harwood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renaud McLeod to maneuver through the defense. Philbert Larkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
