Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Philbert Larkin kicked off to start the match. With his leg Henry Byers managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Peterbell FC's Ned Plourde fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Wayne Hopson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudy Lauzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philbert Larkin in the 18th minute of play. Rudy Lauzier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Hopson in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Peterbell FC's zone, Wayne Hopson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudy Lauzier came out of the goal and Wayne Hopson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wayne Hopson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Lauzier having to interfere. Marlboro's Philbert Larkin got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rudy Lauzier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wayne Hopson went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Peterbell FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Barney Kyle hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Marlboro were awarded a corner. Tyrone Grady went to the cornerflag to take it. Tyrone Grady made a great header on Marlboro's corner, it was just that Peterbell FC's Rudy Lauzier managed to reach the ball for a save. Noble Lajeunesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Peterbell FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Hopson came free, but Rudy Lauzier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philbert Larkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudy Lauzier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noble Lajeunesse was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noble Lajeunesse in the 54th minute of play forced Marlboro's goalkeeper Henry Byers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ned Plourde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noble Lajeunesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Wayne Hopson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marlboro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wayne Hopson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rudy Lauzier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philbert Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Peterbell FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Stéphane Greenberg hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Tyler Branch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Philbert Larkin came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Marlboro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philbert Larkin couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Noble Lajeunesse put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Henry Byers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philbert Larkin in the 89th minute of play forced Peterbell FC's goalkeeper Rudy Lauzier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, Peterbell FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoper Dawkins to maneuver through the defense. If Wayne Hopson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Marlboro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
