The tension between the Donatville and the Peterbell FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Donatville got a freekick which was hit by Mike Foote. Ned Plourde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidney Gunn having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Donatville's goal looked a bit too open when Noble Lajeunesse came free, but Sidney Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peterbell FC's goalkeeper Rudy Lauzier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Sims in the 16th minute of play forced Peterbell FC's goalkeeper Rudy Lauzier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noble Lajeunesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Noble Lajeunesse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peterbell FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noble Lajeunesse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Gunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ned Plourde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Gunn having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Vaughn Doyon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donatville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peterbell FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Donatville's Vaughn Doyon got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Ned Plourde came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Peterbell FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ned Plourde couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Peterbell FC's Christoper Dawkins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sidney Gunn. Sidney Gunn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Donatville's Esteban Sims in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noble Lajeunesse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sidney Gunn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarrett Whalen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Sims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rudy Lauzier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Ron Matlock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ned Plourde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ned Plourde charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ned Plourde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
