A wasted opportunity for Headquarters FC. Shayne Lane hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile Dennis in the 16th minute of play forced Headquarters FC's goalkeeper Godelieve Nicholson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Headquarters FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Self. When Buford Campbell fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Headquarters FC's protests and gave Buford Campbell a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Emile Dennis put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Godelieve Nicholson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrel Christiansen in the 31st minute of play forced Harwood FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Betts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harwood FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Darrel Christiansen 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 39 minutes into the game, Alexis Allaire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harwood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Headquarters FC the free kick. Alexis Allaire hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Darrel Christiansen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alfonso Betts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Derrick Lilly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Betts was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Darrel Christiansen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Headquarters FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darrel Christiansen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Harwood FC's Terry Dodd got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Headquarters FC's Christian Self got a free kick in the 55th minute. The supporters of Headquarters FC booed when Harwood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Beauchemin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darrel Christiansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Harwood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Beauchemin to maneuver through the defense. After 67 minutes of play, Harwood FC's Terry Dodd made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godelieve Nicholson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emile Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Headquarters FC's Derrick Lilly in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harwood FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Emile Dennis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Godelieve Nicholson. That made the score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play.
