Sidney Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Ricardo Beauchemin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harwood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donatville the free kick. After a rather tough play, Harwood FC's Ricardo Beauchemin got a free kick in the 26th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Harwood FC's Terry Dodd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Gunn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donatville's Eliseo Humphries got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emile Dennis was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Donatville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abe Moon to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Ronnie Burgess sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Gunn skillfully saved the ball. Sidney Gunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terry Dodd in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Harwood FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Betts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Sims. 73 minutes into the match, Donatville's Eliseo Humphries sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Betts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Mike Foote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Ronnie Burgess sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Donatville's Sidney Gunn didn't even have to move. Emile Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Harwood FC's Alfonso Betts got control of the ball when Esteban Sims tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute Eliseo Humphries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Betts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Terry Dodd came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Harwood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Dodd couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Ricardo Beauchemin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harwood FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
