Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philbert Larkin in the 43rd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Philbert Larkin was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Marlboro's Philbert Larkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godelieve Nicholson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Godelieve Nicholson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philbert Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Philbert Larkin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 60 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Godelieve Nicholson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Headquarters FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Shayne Lane hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Headquarters FC's Derrick Lilly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Byers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Philbert Larkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godelieve Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wayne Hopson in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godelieve Nicholson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Godelieve Nicholson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Hopson in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Marlboro were the better team. Marlboro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
