Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kasey Espinoza kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Kasey Espinoza made a precise shot to the right of Burt Benoit. Whitworth AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Burt Benoit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Espinoza in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute Kasey Espinoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burt Benoit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibault Draper in the 20th minute of play forced Varennes AFC's goalkeeper Robert Hatch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasey Espinoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Burt Benoit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kasey Espinoza in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Burt Benoit saved Whitworth AFC from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Logan Lespérance cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Burt Benoit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th match minute, Whitworth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Bonneville to maneuver through the defense. Whitworth AFC's Burt Benoit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasey Espinoza in the 47th minute of play. Géraud Parnell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Hatch. Varennes AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Harrison Barnett hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Varennes AFC's zone, Gene Shepard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Hatch came out of the goal and Gene Shepard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Varennes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gene Shepard came free, but Robert Hatch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kasey Espinoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Burt Benoit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kasey Espinoza might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Burt Benoit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kasey Espinoza ran back to his position shaking his head. If Kasey Espinoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clay Bureau kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With his leg Burt Benoit managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Varennes AFC's Logan Lespérance fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th match minute, Varennes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garrett Ogden to maneuver through the defense. Logan Lespérance could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Burt Benoit made a huge save. Varennes AFC's Logan Lespérance got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 minutes, Colin Kilgore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varennes AFC and the Whitworth AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Varennes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Colin Kilgore. Clay Bureau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Kasey Espinoza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varennes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasey Espinoza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harrison Barnett in the 89th minute of play forced Whitworth AFC's goalkeeper Burt Benoit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Whitworth AFC's Thibault Draper in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varennes AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Robert Hatch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thibault Draper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colin Kilgore might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Burt Benoit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Colin Kilgore ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Varennes AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Whitworth AFC.
