The supporters of Truro booed when Varennes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Kilgore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davis Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davis Adams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Varennes AFC's Logan Lespérance slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emon Swain. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Robert Hatch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davis Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Hatch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leroy Reyna in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Davis Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Hatch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Davis Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davis Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Prosper Voss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Truro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prosper Voss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davis Adams made a kick off. With a little luck, Varennes AFC's Robert Hatch got control of the ball when Davis Adams tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Davis Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Varennes AFC's Robert Hatch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Varennes AFC from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the game, Nathanael Zamora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Truro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varennes AFC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prosper Voss in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Hatch saved Varennes AFC from getting behind. A collision led to Varennes AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Harrison Barnett hit a great ball. Davis Adams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Truro's Prosper Voss pulled a muscle in his back after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kasey Espinoza's late challenge caught a Truro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasey Espinoza helped the player get up and apologised. Kasey Espinoza hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Truro's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Varennes AFC had won, even though Truro had held more of the ball.
