Nicholas Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Lafond having to interfere. Willy Lafond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Hill, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Andreas Lacombe lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 32nd minute, one of Netashquan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netashquan. 36 minutes into the match, Netashquan's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Hill came free, but Willy Lafond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmad Jernigan took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dong Yost. Dong Yost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Dewey Drouin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ahmad Jernigan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dong Yost having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Netashquan's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Hill came free, but Willy Lafond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmad Jernigan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Manual Negron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Otto couldn't finish the play. Galiote's Dong Yost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmad Jernigan in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Alonzo Hill notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Netashquan's Willy Lafond. Willy Lafond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicholas Otto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Connor got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dong Yost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmad Jernigan went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dong Yost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmad Jernigan's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Ahmad Jernigan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dong Yost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galiote's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
