Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Matthew Lay took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Jarod Rowley came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Macalister fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarod Rowley couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute, Macalister's Matthew Lay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthew Lay in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Buddy Monty saved Haleys AFC from getting behind. Buddy Monty made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jarod Rowley sent off a good shot on target. Jarod Rowley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Buddy Monty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Lay, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Arron Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macalister's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arron Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Macalister's Bernard Laprise got a free kick in the 30th minute. Lucien Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Andreas Bergeron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Jarod Rowley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Buddy Monty. Haleys AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarod Rowley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 38 minutes, Arron Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macalister and the Haleys AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucien Coyle to make the kick off. Buddy Monty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Lay in the 52nd minute of the match. If Lucien Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arron Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Buddy Monty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarod Rowley, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Haleys AFC's zone, Matthew Lay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buddy Monty came out of the goal and Matthew Lay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Lay in the 66th minute of play forced Haleys AFC's goalkeeper Buddy Monty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarod Rowley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddy Monty having to interfere. Buddy Monty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Lay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Gosselin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Mauro Stevenson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Haleys AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Macalister:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Lay in the 88th minute of play forced Haleys AFC's goalkeeper Buddy Monty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthew Lay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Brault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wilburn Bonner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Macalister's Wilburn Bonner got control of the ball when Julian Brault tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Macalister was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Laprise to maneuver through the defense. Julian Brault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Haleys AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Macalister.
