The audience was convinced that Alonzo Hill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Buddy Monty was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Galiote's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Coyle came free, but Dong Yost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Galiote getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Manual Negron hit a great ball. Julian Brault could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dong Yost made a huge save. Dong Yost was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pete Benjamin. It was beautiful to see Galiote's Lance Oneill in action when he in the 41st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Lance Oneill charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lance Oneill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lance Oneill kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Alonzo Hill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Buddy Monty having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Lucien Coyle made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Julian Brault shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dong Yost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Haleys AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Manual Negron came free, but Buddy Monty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Brault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Haleys AFC defense, Nicholas Otto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Buddy Monty. The Haleys AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Buddy Monty should have stopped the shot. Haleys AFC's Lucien Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buddy Monty made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Nicholas Otto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Coyle in the 86th minute of play forced Galiote's goalkeeper Dong Yost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddy Monty having to interfere. The Haleys AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Galiote's performance. The match ended with a win for Galiote.
