After having played for 41 minutes, Lucien Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haleys AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucien Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Carmi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Coyle came free, but Alfonzo Patel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay Lord stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stéphane Crow kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Haleys AFC reached it. If Fermin Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Lucien Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonzo Patel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
