Netashquan's Willy Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuan Hurt in the 36th minute of play. Jamie Lynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmad Jernigan in the 40th minute of play. Tuan Hurt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Willy Lafond made a huge save. Willy Lafond was a little too slow when Dario Richard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After having played for 53 minutes, Tuan Hurt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braeside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuan Hurt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Allen Thurston fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Braeside AFC's protests and gave Allen Thurston a yellow card for diving instead. 68 minutes in the game, Stephan Deniger fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jamie Lynn having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, Braeside AFC's Jesse Brousse made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willy Lafond was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jamie Lynn was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Andreas Lacombe. If Ahmad Jernigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braeside AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
