Braeside AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galiote the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Braeside AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galiote:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Nicholas Otto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galiote's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Otto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Lynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Dario Richard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tuan Hurt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dong Yost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Richard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicholas Otto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jamie Lynn. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Jamie Lynn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Hill in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tuan Hurt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dong Yost was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Tuan Hurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Galiote's Nicholas Otto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamie Lynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dario Richard took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dong Yost. Dong Yost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Richard in the 45th minute of play forced Galiote's goalkeeper Dong Yost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dario Richard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alonzo Hill made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Jesse Brousse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braeside AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesse Brousse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dong Yost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Braeside AFC's Mel Libby got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Braeside AFC's Dario Richard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dong Yost. Dong Yost yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Dong Yost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Richard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Tuan Hurt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Braeside AFC's Dong Yost threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dario Richard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th minute, Braeside AFC's Dario Richard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Richard during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Braeside AFC's Dario Richard got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tuan Hurt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Dong Yost made a huge save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galiote's goalkeeper Dong Yost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Richard in the 86th minute of play forced Galiote's goalkeeper Dong Yost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galiote's zone, Dario Richard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dong Yost came out of the goal and Dario Richard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manual Negron was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd match minute, Galiote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manual Negron to maneuver through the defense. Braeside AFC's Dario Richard got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Galiote fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Braeside AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
