Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santo Curran started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Carl Farrar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Lance Oneill sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Valleyfield's Fiacre Ratté didn't even have to move. If Alonzo Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valleyfield's Fiacre Ratté proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Valleyfield from getting a goal against them. Julian Whitehead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Curran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dong Yost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dong Yost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Curran in the 29th minute of the match. Santo Curran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dong Yost came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Valleyfield's Julian Whitehead. But to his dismay, Julian Whitehead quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Galiote's Dong Yost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Whitehead in the 38th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alonzo Hill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Robert Connor fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galiote's protests and gave Robert Connor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Galiote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Connor to maneuver through the defense. After 53 played minutes Valleyfield got a freekick which was hit by Carl Farrar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicholas Otto in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fiacre Ratté saved Valleyfield from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Gaétan Bacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lavern Laderoute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Galiote's Dong Yost got control of the ball when Julian Whitehead tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dong Yost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Curran in the 72nd minute of play. Rodolphe Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Alonzo Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Galiote booed when Valleyfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Farrar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Otto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiacre Ratté having to make a save. Fiacre Ratté showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Hill, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute Nicholas Otto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiacre Ratté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Hill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiacre Ratté having to interfere. Nicholas Otto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fiacre Ratté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Nicholas Otto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Galiote's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
