One of Curling:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netashquan:s goal. Andreas Lacombe shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Stéphane Montminy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Willy Lafond made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Stephan Deniger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curling's Renaldo Varner. Renaldo Varner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jerald Frederick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Lafond having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephan Deniger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renaldo Varner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Deniger, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The supporters of Netashquan booed when Curling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lon Otero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th match minute, Curling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Daugherty to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Curling got a freekick which was hit by Carlton Daugherty. Stephan Deniger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Renaldo Varner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Curling's Renaldo Varner got control of the ball when Ahmad Jernigan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curling's Renaldo Varner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Curling from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netashquan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
